Great Ski For The Money

The Yamaha VX Deluxe 2008 is a great ski for the money. Oh yeah, it has plenty of power for just having 110 HP, with enough power left over to pull a wakeboard, kneeboard or a tube like you are pulling nothing at all. The low RPM mode is great and is actually preferred by me, with my average cruise speed at about 30-35 MPH. I get great fuel economy, which is a real plus. You get some splash over the bow when you let her rip, but for me, that’s the fun of being on the water! If you want stay completely dry, stay on land! Also; I love the idle speed. I just let it idle through the no wake zones and it is the perfect speed. You don’t need a no wake zone control with this model... just let it idle and it’s perfect for 'no wake areas'. I have 40 hours on my ski and it has been dependable as promised and always starts without a problem and runs very quietly compared to many other brands I hear on the lake. I looked at a lot of different models online and at different PWC stores before I bought my Yamaha. Another manufacturer almost got my sale, but after a closer look it was clear to me who the leader in PWCs are... and it's Yamaha by far. Oh yeah, and the only difference between the VX Deluxe and the VX Deluxe Cruiser is the cruiser seat! For less money, the VX Deluxe seat is just fine and is actually very comfortable. I would definitely buy another Yamaha PWC or Yamaha boat without a doubt.
